Georgi Georgiev Paunov (under the pseudonym Paunets Jr.) is a Bulgarian artist, born on November 19, 1963, in Varshets, who has been drawing since childhood.

He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Bulgaria and abroad, and his works are held by museums, galleries, and private collectors in countries such as England, Germany, France, Japan, and others.

He painted all the icons and created a reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” for the Monastery of St. Cyril and St. Methodius in the village of Spanchevtsi. He is a member of the “Tenets” Society of Bulgarian Artists (Montana region).

Since the end of 2007, he has lived and worked on the island of Corsica (France), and in 2013 he won a Gold Medal at an exhibition at the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Paris. In 2019, he returned to Bulgaria and continues to work in his native northwestern region.
